Our first meeting requires no obligation, fee, or contract, and is simply intended to get to know one another better.  Choosing an officiant is among the most important decisions for a wedding and you need to be confident in your selection.  This meeting is also my first opportunity to learn more about the two of you, your vision for the wedding ceremony, and the story that brought you together.

Should this meeting go well and you decide to work with me for your wedding, I will follow up with a resource pack to aid in planning for your wedding day.  I will also reach out by phone or email to set up our next meeting, where we will review a first draft of your personalized ceremony.

At our second meeting we will review the first draft of your personalized wedding ceremony.  This ceremony will be informed by both our initial meeting and any needed follow-ups.  Together we will walk through every aspect of the ceremony: from the introduction, readings, and vows to the exchanging of rings and send-off.  Often I like to provide multiple options for you to choose between at various points in the script, and we will also talk through these.

After this meeting I will send you a revised draft.  I am also happy to meet again to get to the perfect final draft, either once more in person or as many times as we need over email, phone, or Skype.

As your wedding day nears, you will need to apply for a marriage license and possibly complete other paperwork as well.  I will send you friendly reminders in advance of important deadlines and also help fill out forms if needed!

I will also reach out to your venue coordinator to confirm key logistical details, including the wedding start time and audio/video equipment setup.

To ensure the wedding ceremony runs smoothly, I will always help organize a rehearsal at no extra cost shortly before the wedding.  We will rehearse where, when, and how the bridal party enters and exits the venue and dry-run the ceremony itself.  Get excited, the big day has almost arrived!

The big day – congratulations on getting here!  I will arrive up to an hour in advance of the wedding to guarantee that every last detail of your ceremony is perfect and meet with your vendors.  I will talk with the venue coordinator again to confirm final logistical details, and also find your photographer to talk over the key moments in the ceremony.  Finally, I will test the sound system.

Once everyone is seated and we meet for the final time at the altar, it’s time to begin the ceremony!  All the hard work done together over the preceding months will finally come to fruition as you declare to the world the bond of love forged by your vows.  Of course, I will also make sure you get time for a great kiss at the end of the event!

After your wedding, I will promptly file your paperwork any take care of any remaining legal details.  Enjoy your new life together!
